Our Impact
KAYAMANDI: People-centred & Measurable
In May and June 2023, Open Play and Stellenbosch Football Club collaborated with Ranyaka Community Transformation, who facilitated our community engagement initiative in Kayamandi. In town hall-type workshops, local stakeholders and community members identified social development priorities and possible interventions that could help drive positive change.
The team used Ranyaka’s 4THRIVE Measurement Framework©, which provides intelligent, measurable, relevant actions to ensure sustainable collaborative efforts across all sectors. The framework is place-based, people-centred, and citizen-led, and provides clear outcomes, project plans, practices and practical tools to:
Develop and grow local economies;
Create safe and clean environments;
Provide better social, health, recreational and education services;
Build local networks for collaborative and collective action; and
Design and measure impact.
Ranyaka produced Kayamandi’s 4THRIVE ‘health report’ from 96 indicators/sub-indicators of community health, measured across four main outcomes:
What will we be measuring?
